Blogging from A to Z April Challenge - Accepted!

Because I am super awesome and because I love super great challenge ideas for my blog that push me to think outside of the box, I am participating in the "Blogging from A to Z April Challenge!"

My friend, Brittany, over at Three Years Down mentioned this challenge in a previous post, here, and I just knew I needed to join in the fun!

I will be participating in this challenge here on my blog, as well as through my Twitter account using hashtag #atozchallenge.

After reading about the challenge on Brittany's post, I also went to the website here.

In a nutshell the challenge can be stated as follows (taken from the website here, and I quote...)

"Can you post every day except Sundays during this month? And to up the bar, can you blog thematically from A to Z? Most of the time if you subtract Sundays from April, you then have 26 days--one day for each letter of the alphabet. When April 1st lands on a Sunday you begin on that day which will be the only Sunday you would post during that month's challenge. Using this premise, you would start beginning April First with a topic themed on something with the letter A, then on April second another topic with the letter B as the theme, and so on until you finish on April thirtieth with the theme based on the letter Z. It doesn't even have to be a word--it can be a proper noun, the letter used as a symbol, or the letter itself. The theme of the day is the letter scheduled for that day."

 I do NOT have a theme for this challenge, but rather will probably just play as I go and see what topics strike me on each day and for each letter. I hope that we can have a wonderful month reading what everyone has to write about and coming up with great ideas of our own to share.

Half Marathon Training Run 3.15

Today was a quick 2 miler in preparation for tomorrow's long slow distance. I am hoping that tomorrow I can do 7 miles in approx 12:30-13:00 pace. My legs have been super tight lately and its been hard to really push hard and go any faster, so I figure if I can get the endurance in, that will be good!

Todays' stats = 2.07 miles in 24:47

**Also played in the swimming pool at my gym with my sister and 18 month old niece for close to an hour! Did the swimming before the running and I think that might have added to my leg soreness during the run... Just a thought though :)

Half Marathon Training Run 3.14

This run was a little rough and my legs felt quite stiff, but I toughed it out! I did 2 miles at about a 12:05/mile pace and then I took a stretch break for my legs... Then I finished it with 2 more miles at around 11:45/mile pace. For the second half I was motivated to run faster because I just wanted to get the miles done!

Todays' statistics = 4.01 miles in 47:52

Half Marathon Training Run 3.13

Meh. The weather has been ping pongy with good and bad... today I went out to run and approx half a mile in to my run it started to just pour. Thankfully it wasn't too cold out so the rain wasn't awful, but it did put a slight damper on things. My legs were a bit stiff for some reason or another and I couldn't really keep a good pace, but I made it for the 3 miles and that was my goal, so I guess I can't complain!

Today's stats: 3.00 miles in 36:45

Weigh-in Wednesday #2 = 170 pounds (+1 pound from last week)
**Goal weight = 135 pounds
**Pounds to go = 35

Half Marathon Training Run 3.12

This run was decent. My legs were a bit sore after my long run on Saturday, but it wasn't too bad. Didn't have a run scheduled for today, but I did miss my run yesterday, so I guess that means I'm back on track! :)
