Follow My Book Blog Friday with "Alison Can Read" #7


 I missed this blog hop last week due to an extended holiday weekend... It is certainly nice to be back again :) those of you who are first time visitors, hope you enjoy my blog and it's nice to have you here

Question: What is your biggest pet peeve when it comes to books? Maybe you don't like love triangles or thin plots? Tell us about it! 

This question is kind of hard for me to answer, however, there is something that has bothered me about quite a few books I have read lately... While I do enjoy reading books with perspectives of more than one character, a HUGE pet peeve of mine is when the author does a sloppy job of transitioning between characters and their stories, feelings, etc. Obviously this is a difficult way to write a book, and some people just CAN'T do it well. They should often just stick to what they know well.

    I once read a book that had 6 POV's it was somewhat sloppy and I had no idea who I was now following. Way too much!

    I think anyone would really be annoyed with a fail transitioning of plot and characters. I believe that a good book is very well proofread and well edited.

    I don't mind reading books with multiple point of views as long as it is clearly defined.

    Reading a novel with multiple POVs can be difficult. I think authors should restrict themselves to 3 max.

    Definitely agree! If multiple perspectives in one book are not written well then the whole book is going to flop.

    Agree! I get confused and I personally don't like the switching of the POVs unless it's perfectly written. And I mean perfect.

    I agree! I love dual perspectives but not when you can'T even tell the difference between the personalities!!
